1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Ourspot ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Ourspot is a social food and spot discovery platform that allows users to save, review, and share restaurants and places of interest. Features include spot recommendations, group collaboration, real-time meetups (Spot-On), curated theme collections, and AI-powered insights.
3. User Accounts
- You must sign in using Google or Apple authentication to use the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
4. User Content
- You retain ownership of content you create (reviews, photos, lists).
- By posting content, you grant Ourspot a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute your content within the Service.
- You must not post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.
5. Trust Score System
Ourspot features a trust score system that reflects your contributions to the community. Trust points are earned through activities like saving spots, logging visits, writing reviews, and participating in meetups. Trust scores are visible to other users and may affect access to certain features.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- Manipulating trust scores or review ratings
- Spamming, harassment, or abuse of other users
- Impersonating another person or entity
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Using the Service for commercial purposes without permission
- Scraping or automated data collection
6-A. FoodiLog Video Content Policy
FoodiLog allows you to share short videos with selected closed groups. The following content is strictly prohibited and will be removed without notice:
- Sexually explicit material, nudity, or adult content of any kind.
- Content that violates applicable law, including but not limited to material depicting minors in a sexual context, illegal drug use, weapons trafficking, or threats of violence.
- Content that infringes a third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights.
- Personally identifying information about another person without their consent.
Uploading prohibited content may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable law has been broken, referral to law-enforcement authorities. By uploading a video to FoodiLog, you affirm that the content complies with this policy and that you have the rights to share it with the chosen groups.
6-B. Community Standards & Moderation
Ourspot has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. To keep the community safe, every user can:
- Report any chat message or FoodiLog clip, with a reason (spam, harassment, hate speech, sexual content, violence, or other).
- Block any user — their messages and clips are immediately hidden from you.
We review reports and remove violating content and/or eject abusive users within 24 hours. Repeat or severe violations may result in permanent account termination. For anything you cannot resolve in-app, contact support@ospot.io.
7. Account Deletion
- Permanently deleted: User profile, nickname, avatar, chat messages, reactions, curation lists, group data, and event data.
- May be retained: Authentication credentials for security purposes; system logs required by law.
- Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
- If you sign in again with the same credentials, you will start with an empty account.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services including Google Maps, Google Places, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, and Supabase. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
9. Disclaimers
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
- Spot information, ratings, and AI-generated estimates are for reference only and may not be accurate.
- We are not responsible for the quality or safety of any restaurant or venue listed on the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ourspot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
